All New Toyota Land Cruiser Sold Out in Kenya
Toyota unveiled the brand new Land Cruiser J300 Series in Kenya on Thursday, the 2nd of December 2021, with wealthy Kenyans already snatching up the 4 units that were available for purchase. Those who were not able to snatch up the Sh23 million (PKR 3.62 crore) vehicle joined the waiting list, as the lucky few each enjoy the pride of driving one of the only four LC300s in Kenya
The next units are expected to arrive in February 2022, and will retail from Sh17.5 million (PKR 2.75 crore) for GX-R, Sh21.9 million (PKR 3.44 crore) for VX-, and Sh23.1 million (PKR 3.63 crore) for GRS models. The LC300 in Kenya will have two options to choose from, a 3.3L diesel or 3.5L petrol V6 twin-turbo. Both engine options will come with the newly created direct Shift-10AT (10-speed automatic transmission).
Toyota Kenya MD Arvinder Reel during the unveiling event of the LC300 said:
“As we join the world in celebrating the Land Cruiser 70th anniversary, we are committed to ensure we continue offering generations of adventure and that is exactly what LC300 promises.”
The Toyota Land Cruiser 300, which made its world debut earlier this year has a huge demand from various markets across the globe, including big as well as small markets. The waiting time has already exceeded to almost a year with Toyota finding it hard to meet the demand specially in wake of global chip shortage. Business tycoons, industry titans and wealthy politicians who can’t afford to compromise on status besides performance, luxury and practicality are eager to get their hands on the new machine.
