BYD Tang Facelift Unveiled in China
BYD has unveiled the 2022 Tang EV facelift in China. The BYD Tang had made its debut at the 2018 Guangzhou Auto Show, and has received a facelift after almost 3.5 years of its existence.
In terms of appearance t he new Tang gets the latest iteration of BYD’s signature ‘Dragon Face’ design and a re-sculpted sportier bumper with more aggressive outer ends, a full-width horizontal bar that flows into the side air vents, and a taller lower air intake are the other changes at the front. Overall the revised fascia makes it look more reminiscent to the BYD Han sedan.
On the sides, the new Tang EV features new 21-inch alloy wheels, which are matched by the new generation of Michelin PS4 tires with 265/45R 21, for better performance in terms of grip and tranquility. At the rear, a sportier bumper with re-positioned light reflectors, black fins, and small vertical air outlets offer enhanced styling.

Inside, the redesigned interior consists of a sleeker and more fluidic dashboard, a twin-spoke steering wheel, new AC vents, and a revised center console which instead of 12.8-inch unit in pre-facelift model, now gets 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system that (like before) can rotate to adapt landscape or portrait orientation. It also gets Dynaudio system, as well as DiLink 4.0 (5G) intelligent network connection system and DiPilot autonomous driving system, the logo of which is there on the a flat bottom multi-function steering wheel.
