Changan’s Overseas Sales Reaches 100,000 Units for the First Time
Changan’s overseas sales volume has breached 100,000 units mark for the first time despite unfavorable situations such as pandemic, global chip shortage, and a sharp rise in logistics costs. The cumulative export volume of Changan between January and October 2021 stood at 102,029 units, a 135% YoY increase, and a record high for Changan’s overseas business. According to information, more than 90% of the sales came from the “Belt and Road” countries.
Sales of Changan has been blossoming all over the world, with many markets such as Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Peru, Bolivia & Chile witnessing Changan at 1st place among Chinese brands with sales doubled compared to previous year. In Pakistan, Changan’s sales exceeded 15,000 units, a YoY increase of 440%; whereas in Saudi Arabia, Changan’s export sales exceeded 30,000 units, up 81% YoY, ranking 5th among other major global brands.
A variety of Changan products have been doing exceptionally well in global markets such as the CS75PLUS, Eado PLUS, CS35PLUS and Alsvin etc. The CS35PLUS was awarded “Best Crossover of the Year” in Saudi Arabia and “Most Cost Effective SUV of the Year” in Qatar, while at the same time, the Eado was awarded “The best sedan of the Year” in Saudi Arabia.
