Hyundai Stargazer MPV Launched in Indonesia

Hyundai teased the new Stargazer MPV in Indonesia in June 2022, and now it has launched the all-new 7-seat MPV which will take on the likes of Mitsubishi Xpander, Suzuki XL7, Toyota Avanza/ Veloz and the Honda BR-V in ASEAN region where 7-seaters are very popular.

In terms of dimensions, the Stargazer measures 4,460 mm long, 1,780 mm wide, 1,695 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2,780 mm. The Stargazer features futuristic styling which takes inspiration from the larger Hyundai Staria. There is a distinctive full-width light strip at the front, below which there are main headlamps flanked by a large rectangular grille that are part of an X-shaped bumper, with a trapezoidal-shaped lower intake.

Towards the sides, a belt line originates from the top of the front light bar that rises gradually before shooting upwards towards the D-pillar, which creates a “floating roof” look. Elsewhere, strong creases on the doors create a visual link between the front and rear, while the squarish wheel arches are slightly recessed to highlight the stylish wheels.

The rear end also features a full-width light bar that links to vertical light bars at the corners of the vehicle to form an “H” shape while the actual taillight clusters are triangular in profile. More instances of triangles are seen in the lower apron for the reflectors, while the tailgate accommodates the Hyundai badge, a black trim piece with the Stargazer script and a recessed number plate section.
