Li Auto L9 EREV SUV Launched In China
Li Auto has launched the L9 full-size luxury crossover SUV in China which will compete against the likes of Mercedes-Benz GLS and the BMW X7 in Chinese market.
L9 is an EREV (range extender electric vehicle) which means the 1.5L four-cylinder engine it has, only powers the battery. The L9 is powered by two electric motors with a combined output of 330 kW (449hp) and 620 Nm. With them on board, the L9 can reach from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds. There is a ternary (NMC) battery with a 44.5-kWh capacity. In the all-electric mode, the L9 can run up to 215 km (CLTC) or 180 km (WLTC). The range extended with the engine reaches massive 1,315 km (CLTC) or 1,100 km (WLTC).
The design shows a very simplistic approach instead of an overly complexed language. The front bears a slim light bar that runs the entire width of the fascia while the main light units are located at the bumpers. The sides feature flush door handles, and large window spaces while the rear end perfectly mimics the front with a similar slim light bar. Devoid of sharp creases, the overall design is very smooth & serene. The L9 also has an air suspension, which means you can adjust its ride height by 80mm as desired, and there are 7 exterior colors to choose from.
Inside, the dashboard features large twin-screen setup, each screen measuring 15.7 inches with 3K resolution. The instrument panel is located on the steering wheel in form of a 4.8-inch screen that is also customizable. There is another 15.7 inch 3K resolution screen mounted on roof for the second row passengers. The L9 has a 6-seat layout (2/2/2) and each of them is power adjustable. Each seat comes with heating function, even the third row seats as well. As for the first and the second row, the seats here have ventilation and massage functions.
