Ongoing Protest – Here is Traffic Alert for Islamabad

The banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) is on a strike  to force the government to release the founder’s heir, Saad Rizvi. The protestors are taking a long march from Lahore to Islamabad, today. Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has posted a traffic alert for the citizens of the capital.

Here are the traffic updates for Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

  • Diversion placed before Faizabad for traffic coming from Murree Road Rawalpindi to Islamabad.

Alternatively, 9th Avenue can be used.

  • Diversion placed for both sides of traffic from Express Chowk to D_Chowk at Jinnah Av.

Alternatively, NADRA Chowk and Ayub Chowk can be used for Red Zone entry and exit.

  • Diversion placed for both sides of traffic at Murree Road, Faiz-ul-Islam stop, from and to Faizabad.

Alternatively, traffic going from Islamabad to Murree Road Rawalpindi is diverted to Islamabad Highway.

  • Diversion Placed for both sides of traffic at 9th Av Signal from and to Stadium Rd Rawalpindi.

Alternatively, traffic going to Rawalpindi from 9th Av Islamabad and from Faizabad is diverted to IJP Rd.

Metro Bus Update

The Rawalpindi metro bus service will remain closed from Saddar to the IJP and work from IJP to Pak Secretariat.
