The 2022 Acura RDX: Upgraded and Enhanced in Nearly Every Way.

The last year has been a frenzied one. At Acura, it’s been particularly busy. With a return to Formula One and a win at the U.S. Grand Prix, another strong finish at IMSA, the reintroduction of Type S performance — extending to the NSX supercar — and the Integra’s comeback, Acura has been stealing the lion’s share of attention.

Leading into 2022, the performance brand shows no signs of slowing down with the release of the refined and retuned 2022 RDX. The attention Acura has given to the best-selling SUV since 2006 in the competitive compact luxury SUV segment is apparent at first glance, putting forward some of the most dynamic styling, refined comforts, and exhilarating performance of the whole category. In short, the best just keeps getting better.

The 2022 Acura RDX is the most dynamic, comfortable, refined five-passenger SUV in Acura’s history.

Everyone who has followed the progression of the RDX will quickly notice the substantial refresh to the appearance of this year’s model. The exterior design has taken cues from the MDX flagship SUV, giving the RDX a wider and more powerful appearance with broad, aggressive forms and larger air intakes on the front bumper. The Diamond Pentagon Grille also takes on aspects of the MDX, with tweaks to the front fascia featuring a new thinner, more sophisticated chrome surround. In the back, the 2022 RDX receives a revised rear bumper with cutouts for the new rectangular dual exhaust finishers, giving it a sportier look. There’s also an expanded color palette with two new color options available: Liquid Carbon Metallic and Phantom Violet Pearl. Opt for the A-Spec® with Advance package, and you get new and exclusive 20-inch Shark Gray wheels with a 15-spoke design.

The RDX’s interior is remarkably refined, with power-adjustable heated front seats and dual-zone climate control. Aluminum trim features on the door, dash, and center console are standard, but now there’s a newly available bronze brushed aluminum trim and brushed dark aluminum trims. Thanks to upgraded Active Sound Control helping cancel out exterior noise, the cabin is dramatically quieter. The RDX also comes flush with new standard tech features like wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration, a USB-C charging port, and Amazon Alexa Built-in, all accessible through the 10.2-inch full HD Dual-Content Center Display situated on the dashboard via the intuitive True Touchpad Interface™ on the center console. For those wanting something more tech-heavy and stylish, upgrade to one of the trim packages, and you get a slew of choices with great available features like the Acura Navigation System with 3D view and natural-language voice recognition, a wireless charging pad, the ELS Studio® 3D Premium Audio System, and an A-Spec with Advance-exclusive Orchid-colored interior with Ultrasuede®-trimmed seats.
