Toyota Introduces New Fortuner Commander in Thailand
Toyota has just introduced a new variant of Fortuner in Thailand. Based on the V trim with 2.4L engine and 2WD, the Fortuner Commander is priced at THB 1,505,000 (PKR 80.11 lac) which is TBH 39,000 (PKR 2.07 lac) more expensive than the regular 2.4L V variant. The production of new Fortuner Commander is limited to 1,000 units and is backed by company’s 5-years/ 150,000 km warranty.
The visual enhancements in Fortuner Commander include glossy black elements in front grille, bumpers, side mirrors, side steps & tail gate, as well as black roof. The variant rides on new 20-inch wheels instead of 18-inch as in regular model. The interior gets black and red tones on dashboard, door panels whereas the seats are upholstered in black and red leather with red stitching.

Mechanical changes include new and improved front & rear shock absorbers whereas safety features see inclusion of 360-degree panoramic view monitor camera system, Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) warning system as well as blind spot monitoring system on the side mirrors.

Features already bundled with the 2.4L variant include bi-beam projector headlamps with auto on/ off & follow-me-home function, side mirrors with integrated indicators, welcome lights & power tailgate. Inside 4.2 inch TFT MID display, 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, Toyota T-connect telematics system, multi-function steering with paddle shifters, push button engine start/ stop, keyless entry etc.
